Ich verfolge die “Do Easy”-Sachen schon seit dem ersten Release. “Chicago” glänzt durch seinen Oldskool-Faktor und das gekonnt einsetzende Vokal, da bleibt kein Fuß still. Der Eric Johnston Remix ist ein gutes Warm-Up-Tool. Auf der B Seite groovt “Anvil” schön vor sich hin, ebenfalls eine prima Nummer für ein perfektes Opening am Abend. Da gefällt mir auch der reduzierte Remix von Christopher Groove. Schönes Ding! 5 Points

Auf der A-Seite Mathias Meyer, dessen “Tenor” im Orginal ein wenig Anlaufzeit braucht, um auf die feine und dichte Melodie zu kommen, die den Track dann voll und ganz trägt und ein etwas blasser Boris-Werner-Remix. Die Rückseite von Patlac kickt mit dem schiebenden sanft perkussiven Housetrack “Cedar” um so besser, und auch der Remix von Catana & Lehner groovt fein mit dubbigem Untergrund. Nur die Querflöte, Kinder, die steht doch nun wirklich auf dem Index!

Sehr gutes erstes Release auf dem neuen Wiener Label, das mit dem Frankfurter Sebastian Lutz und “I’m telling you” mit sehr percussiv kickender Houseoldschool voller Vocalsamples beginnt und dann noch eine Funknuance nach der anderen in Andeutung drauflegt. Der Remix von Robert Dietz räumt natürlich ordentlich auf und lässt von der klassischen housigen Basis kaum noch was übrig, ausser Soundfragmenten, und schnuckelt nach bester Minimaluhrwerkmanier bis zum Ende selbstbewusst und völlig in sich gefangen durch. Ich mag es trotzdem. Nico Purman lässt lieber alles gleich auf Raveharmonie ausgerichtet und sucht lieber nach einem Technoplateau, auf dem sowieso alles frei schwingt. Wir sind gespannt auf mehr.

Aus Wien kommt dieses neue Label, das mit der Debüt-12” des Witteners Lutz, der bislang durch Releases auf Big City Beats von sich reden gemacht hat, einen guten Startschuss setzt. Das liegt zwar auch, aber nicht in erster Linie an den Remixes von Robert Dietz (Cecille, Be Chosen) und Nico Purman (Vakant, Crosstown Rebels), den nicht gerade überladenen Original-Track entschlacken und um die catchy Vocals, die mich an Big Daddy Kanes “Set It Off” erinnern, erleichtern. Übrig bleibt in allen drei Mixes eine perkussiv-prickelnde House-Nummer, die vielleicht auch unter Minimal laufen könnte, dafür aber nicht langweilig genug ist.
